Projection snapshot: 4 October 2026, 10:06 UTC (11:06 BST), FPL Pilot model
v22-rc7-gk-depth. Deadline: Saturday 10 October, 11:00 BST, according to the official Fantasy Premier League schedule. Scope: One Gameweek projection per player, from a model run six days before the deadline.
Bruno Fernandes leads the early GW6 projection. Saka is only 0.21 points behind, so projection alone cannot separate them. Haaland is third, but brings the strongest ownership and minutes profile of the three.
The early captain shortlist
| Player | GW6 fixture | xPts | Expected minutes | xG + xA | FPL ownership | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bruno Fernandes (MUN) | Spurs (H) | 6.81 | 80 | 0.96 | 38.5% | £11.9m |
| Bukayo Saka (ARS) | Leeds (H) | 6.60 | 75 | 0.90 | 13.8% | £9.5m |
| Erling Haaland (MCI) | Liverpool (A) | 6.36 | 80 | 0.88 | 73.9% | £15.6m |
These figures are from the same production model run, computed at 10:06 UTC on 4 October. xPts is the model’s expected FPL points for this fixture; xG + xA is its expected goals and assists. Expected minutes are estimates, not a promise that a player will start or finish the match. Prices, ownership and status are the official FPL values stored with that run.
What separates the three?
Fernandes leads, narrowly. Manchester United host Tottenham on Saturday evening. He has 0.06 more expected goal involvements than Saka and a 0.21-point xPts edge. That is the model’s top pick, but not a meaningful points gap on its own.
Saka is the differential pick. Arsenal host Leeds in Saturday’s opening match. The model gives him 75 expected minutes and 0.90 expected goal involvements. At 13.8% ownership in this snapshot, he offers the most separation from the crowd.
Haaland is the template pick. His 6.36 xPts ranks third here, but his 80 expected minutes and 73.9% ownership make him the most established option. He travels to Liverpool on Sunday.
The official fixture list also puts Liverpool v Manchester City on Sunday afternoon, a day after the first five GW6 matches begin. The Saturday-to-Monday spread gives managers time to watch early returns, but captaincy locks at the deadline and cannot be changed after the first match starts.
The model feed marked all three available at 10:06 UTC on 4 October. For later status updates and the confirmed deadline, use the official FPL schedule and the Premier League’s GW6 guide.
